How this timer works
A calm voice reads each step's cue as it begins; every cue is written out below. There is no ticking. A soft gong sounds every 15 minutes inside a long focus block, so you can keep time without looking. A chime marks each change of step. It closes with “Session complete.”

Focus
One task, twenty-five minutes. Start with the smallest first step and leave the phone face down.
FOCUSBreak
Five minutes. Stand up, look away from the screen, let your eyes rest.
BREAKFocus
Round two. Same task if it is still open, and the phone stays where it is.
FOCUSBreak
Five more minutes off. Get some water, and stay out of your inbox.
BREAKFocus
Third round. This is usually where attention drifts, so pick the next small step and start it now.
FOCUSBreak
Last short break. Stand up, walk a little, and look at something far away.
BREAKFocus
Last round. Finish what you can, and write down where you stop.
FOCUSLong break
Four rounds done. Fifteen minutes now. Walk, drink some water, leave the desk behind.
