What it sounds like
Shallow water running over rocks: a constant, bright babble with no gaps in it. Moving water covers a wide range of pitches at once, which is why it is better than most natural sounds at hiding voices and keyboard clatter nearby.
What it suits
It is a good middle ground between music and noise for open-plan offices, cafés and shared rooms. If it feels too bright after a while, the deeper rumble of brown noise covers much the same ground more softly.
